About one year ago I was diagnosed with a Hyperthyroid. Just what I needed, I was already thin to begin with. My Mom and Dad talked to Dr. Rob Silver and started to play around with some Tapazol generic called Methimazole. It took some time and allot of needle poking but they finally got my thyroid to stablize. Well, what was good for my thryroid was not good for my stomach. I started to get really sick and dehydrated. I was hungry all of the time, I just couldn't keep it down. Mom and Dad played around with the dosage and I just seemed to get sicker. Dr. Silver thought that Mom and Dad should try a few other options: (1) I could try a Transdermal form of Methimazole applied to my ear. (2) Surgery could be preformed to remove my Thyroid. (3) I could get Radiation Therapy to kill the dammaged cells in my Thyroid. Well, I have to tell you none of these sounded very exciting to me.
It was decided to try the Transdermal solution and the other options would be reschearched. You probably guessed, it didn't work. By this time Mom and Dad made a decision to go forward with the Radiation Therapy. Boy, was I scared, what would happen, would I glow?
